Abstract: A bow-tie antenna, suitable for through-wall radars working in the 500-1600-MHz band, is designed, fabricated, and measured. The proposed printed antenna and its ground plane based reflector can be readily integrated in a circuit board. A thorough characterization of the prototype confirms the numerically calculated radiation patterns. (C) 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
