Dynamics of beam fanning in Cu-doped KNSBN

Abstract: The experimental characterization of fanning in KNSBN: Cu is reported. Depletion of the input beam and amplification of a single secondary peak are reported for different crystal axis orientations. Shown is that fanning is ruled by two time scales, associated respectively with the depletion of the input beam and the build-up of the secondary peak, and an explanation of this effect is given.
