Abstract: The article discusses a cost-effective, asynchronous stereo framework for 3D seabed reconstruction and orthomosaiking. It considers the important aspects of 3D mosaic reconstruction registered by ego-motion and camera pose estimation presented along with the iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm. It presents the three main troublesome aspects including the asynchronous stereo acquisition, depth estimation, and 3D mosaic registration.
