Beam properties of a waveguide annular CO2 laser with a Talbot cavity

Abstract: We describe the behavior of an annular RF-excited CO2 laser, operated with a Talbot cavity in order to reduce the number of oscillating azimuthal modes. The beam quality is enhanced by means of a phase filter outside the cavity.
