Abstract: Research project concerning the development of data and image processing methodologies to support the early detection of skin tumors.
The project involved the development of instrumentation for multispectral and multimodal imaging in the visible and near infrared regions and its application for in vivo clinical validation on patients of the Regional Reference Center for Melanoma.
The project also included processing methods of the images collected for automatic annotation, and the development of an online database for remote sharing

The Scientific Results:
1) Noninvasive inspection of skin lesions via multispectral imaging2) Multispectral imaging for early diagnosis of melanoma
