Abstract: We report experimental evidence that the Shraiman and Siggia conjecture (Phys. Rev, A, 42 (1990) 3650) on temperature boundary layer shape, in turbulent thermal convection, is correct. Besides, we also show that the spatial distributions of temperature fluctuations present exponential tails, which is compatible with a logarithmic dependence on z of the temperature fluctuation amplitudes.
