Abstract: Using a hydrodynamic approach we predict bulk-and surface-induced second and third harmonic generation from a GaAs nanowire grating. Absorption is inhibited below the band-edge and conversion efficiencies are predicted to be 0.5% at 333nm. (C) 2019 The Author(s)
