Two-photon absorption of liquid pyridine: a study using thermal lensing and cars spectroscopy

Abstract: The two-photon spectrum of liquid pyridine has been obtained by thermal lensing and CARS bandshape analysis. Four transitions have been detected between 315 and 200 nm. The maximum occurring at 244 nm has been assigned to the two-photon allowed n>p* transition of A2 symmetry.
